Writer For Hire Pat Kramer started writing music reviews back in the 1970s, while a student at Emerson College. Her first major interview was with rock icon Johnny Winter for the Berkley Beacon. Later, Pat produced music stories on acts in local clubs for several rock-format radio stations, then upgraded the shows she was covered while working at WTAG in Worcester, MA., where she reported on rock concerts at the Worcester Centrum in the 1980s.
After moving to Los Angeles in 1988, Pat signed on as a music reviewer for Entertainment Today where she was assigned rock concerts to review on the average of three times a week. She later worked as a contributing writer for Music Connection, HITs, and Southland Blues before being hired by Variety, one of the top industry business news publications in the nation.
